I’m originally from Ghana, but moved to the Dallas, Texas area when I was younger. Some of my current hobbies include Netflix, leisure reading, curating personal Spotify playlists, and just exploring NYC. Super excited for a great year with ASA!

My name is Taibat Awokoya and I am a sophomore at Barnard College. I am Nigerian-American, grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and I currently live in Texas. I am ASA’s Social Chair and have planned events like African Thanksgiving and Shakara! Some of my hobbies are boating, expanding my knowledge of cuttlefish, and listening to Afrobeats/Fuji music. I plan to serve ASA in the future years through Afropolitan and the E-Board.
